The crowd sounded delirious on TV. The roars were really loud and it was often hard to hear the announcers.
For those at the game, was it that loud or did the producers just have a microphone amped up to make it sound that good?
Whatever it was, it should have made a great impression on any recruits that may have watched it!

It was loud, and there were some passionate fans up in those seats, especially in the first half with our flurry of offense at the beginning and some huge defensive stops. Boy was it ever loud in third downs with the “welcome to the jungle intro” which was immediately followed by more noise when we stopped them. The crowd was loud on every first down we made. It was a great atmosphere, I’m glad I got to see the Rent that way again.

It was a good crowd - 25K+

The advantage of 1) scheduling local opponents and 2) having a competent FBS football team again that's on the rise. Not to mention the weather has been really good for all our home games thus far.

We've had a great home schedule this year - CCSU, Syracuse, BC and UMass. If that doesn't generate local fan interest and fannies in the seats, not much will.

The fan base needed to be rebuilt. Think about this. If you were a student at UConn in the past 10 years, you never experienced a winning season. And, not only was the team not good, many seasons they were one of the worst in FBS. COVID? UConn was one of the only teams to cancel the season. That does not help build the fan base! But, winning changes everything, especially when you can play and beat local opponents.

What was interesting was the lack of BC fans. Cuse had at least 25% of the crowd for their game if not more. BC fans were present, but nearly as many, and fairly invisible.

Cuse is good this year and have a lot of alumni in the area. BC sucks this year and we know the deal with their fan(s).

A few times on third down the scoreboard showed a picture of shake your keys, of course with an advertisement below, and they did not play any third down music to get people jacked up. It's about as dumb as you can get
Having to pipe in music is weak. Way to much yesterday. UConn has a great band, why pipe in music when you have the band?
