Cross One Off the List? Luke Fickell to FAU?

Good hire for FAU, should it happen. I don't know why, but I'm more interested in Tom Herman from Ohio State. But if Fickell brings Vrabel to FAU to be his DC, this could be a very good move.

He sounds cranky. Reading-between-the-lines guy thinks that perhaps there are some chilly relations between Meyer and Fickell and Fickell's departure seems imminent once the season ends.

That seems like a rediculous move backwards for Luke Fickell. FAU? When you have a great role on a staff at Ohio State and may win a national title this year? When you look at the fact that programs like ours are out there and clearly are going to hire a new HC next season why would you not wait til the end of the year? I heard rumors that Urban Myer was telling Fickell to hold out until the right job came along. FAU, really?
