1. Not sure about the foul call putting Creighton on the line at about 3 minutes into the game. Live, it looked to me like the blue guy slipped and slid into our guy. Have to watch it in slomo later. Update. Not a good enough replay to call it one way or the other. Then again, I'm not Jim Breeding, who sees EVERY call as being on UConn.
2. Not quite 7 minutes in, and Reed has 6 points 5 boards and a dime. I think we should keep getting the ball to Tarris.
3. Officiating is brutal. 4 on us. 0 on them.
4. 9:41 mark in the first half. Ross got called for a foul on the cleanest block I've seen this season. I don't like complaining about the officiating, but this is just ridiculous.
5. Finally a Creighton foul at 12.53.
6. Early on, we had 11 buckets on 9 dimes. By half time, we had 7 more buckets, but only 2 more assists. By games end, we had 31 buckets on 18 assists. Assisted buckets went from 82% down to 58%.
7. Our foul shooting has been abysmal. 61% (11 of 18) for the game, compared to 84% (27 of 32) for Creighton.
8. As poorly as we played, we outscored the BJs from the floor by 7 points.
9. At the half, Reed was the game's leading scorer with 13 points on 6 of 7 from the field. He ended the night with 15 points on 7 of 11 from the floor and the same 1 for 4 from the FT line. One bucket in the 2nd half after going 6 for 7 in the first half. Sure looks like we got away from what was working.
10. Started off the 2nd half playing well, but then watched an 8 point lead shrink to a 2 point deficit in what seemed like no time at all.
11. We just couldn't hit a shot to save our sorry butts late in the game.
