Day 2 BET
Two victories in one day
That is tonight's goal

Gotta finish up
Before midnight tolls: Minor
technicality

Those last 12 minutes
Were what we've been looking for
I starts with defense.

Gain & hold the lead
Then build it up with smart play
Offense & defense

8-man rotation
Even more if plausible
Growing champions

The ratchet tightens
and strengthens for ever more
It produces joy

Up next is Creighton.
Another team we split with.
Win the rubber match.

We both lost at home.
What happens in MSG?
Tonight we find out!

McDermott is tough,
But I like how we're playing.
Time for a statement.

Still waiting to see
Solo, AK, and Liam
All go off at once.

Is tonight the night
Where it all comes together?
The perfect Husky?

So, mush you Huskies
And beat these Creighton Blue Jays!
Move on to next game!

I've been wondering
If there are any hardcore
Devout Catholic

Husky fans who have
Given up watching UConn
Basketball for Lent?

Religion can be
A good thing when you take it
In moderation

But for some of us
UConn hoops is our main faith
And all other teams

Are to be treated
As godless heathens to be
Vanquished from our Earth

And so It is with
Creighton tonight. We hold no
Animosity

Toward any Blue Jay,
But we must take their souls, their
Will, and their women.

Epic poetry
In haiku syllabic form:
Don't see that much here

Steve Weber, fondly
recalled 80s work buddy
would joke, on St. Pat's,

in best Irish brogue,
"I'm a good cat-lick, fodder"
Before each next drink

Of course, "Cath-o-lic"
is fully acceptable
in Game Day haiku
