Matt Buckler in the JI says that the channel will be CPTV Spirit....and not focus on sports at all.
Matt says that there was good viewership for CPTVSports but they had trouble getting sponsors.
They did a nice job of covering state high school championships in a variety of sports.

UConn games have not been on CPTV in years.

This doesn't surprise me at all. They really haven't shown any sports that I'm aware of for months now. I've often wondered why they were still calling it CPTV Sports.

That's too bad. When I was in CT I used to enjoy watching some of the games on there. My daughter was on there when she pitched in a state championship game and it added to the overall feel that this was something important. Sad they couldn't get sponsors.
