Friday February 5th
8:00 p.m. - Hill Academy (CAN) vs. Putnam Science Academy (CT)
Putnam Science has been in the news in recent weeks as they've added Zach Brown, a 7-foot big man from Miami who is already committed to UConn in the class of 2017, to pair with fellow ESPN 60 prospect Hamidou Diallo and another UConn pledge, Mamadou Diarra. Together, that trio has PSA playing as well as anyone in New England right now. Hill Academy is led by Justin Jackson, a former top 100 national prospect who previously starred at Findlay Prep and promises to be an immediate impact player at the college level.
Saturday February 6th
6:00 p.m. - Putnam Science Academy (CT) vs. Helsinki Basketball Academy (Finland)
The eyes of the college basketball world are bound to be on this game as PSA features the likes of future UConn players like Brown and Diarra, along with one of the most sought-after juniors in the country in Diallo while Helsinki features Lauri Markkanen, the 6-foot-10 forward who is already committed to Arizona. Markkanen is described as highly skilled for his size and will be expected to make an immediate contribution for the Wildcats next year.
