Conspiracy Kitty says:
Suppose the Athletics Dept. conference revenue number was significantly higher than current conference revenue. People might get the wrong idea (or the right idea prematurely.) If that were the case then it would mean that something is changing in this fiscal year. I'm not saying that's what happen, but I'm not saying that it isn't what happened either.

Apparently the numbers are available:

A statement released by UConn late last week and signed by all of the available trustees says: "The budget that was made publicly available before the meeting was exactly the same budget that was adopted by the financial affairs committee and the full board of trustees on June 24, during public session. It was not altered, amended, or voted on in executive session. The budget is a public document and the board treated it that way."

The statement noted that "the entire proposed budget — including hundreds of pages of detailed explanatory documents — was released publicly, shared with the news media, and posted online June 19, several days in advance of the board meeting."
