Let's look at TN.  When Pat was still around, she suffered through every loss and so too did her team.  That was part of the reason TN was so good for so long.  To her credit, HW also appears to suffer through each and every loss as do most longtime Lady Vol fans.  But as for the players, not so much.  So when TN loses to Bama 3 times in a season or to OR St in Knoxville during the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament, the players accept it as part of the basketball experience at TN.

What Kia and Geno are effectively saying is that we may lose a game every now and then, but we will never, ever accept losing as part of the UConn experience.
