Add: Army (football-only), BYU, Boise State, UNLV, San Diego St., Air Force

West Division: BYU, Boise State, UNLV, San Diego St., Air Force, Tulsa
Central Division: Army, Navy, Houston, Memphis, SMU, Tulane
East Division: UConn, Cincy, Temple, ECU, UCF, USF

9 -game schedule (5 in division, 2 vs each of the other two divisions on 3-year rotation) with two division winners with best records meeting in conference championship game (allowed for by deregulation).
Basketball: UConn, Cincy, Temple, Memphis, SMU, BYU, UNLV, San Diego St., Tulsa could all be NCAA tourney teams in a given year (16 total for basketball).

Well, it absolutely could be the AAC of the future.

I doubt it will.

BYU thinks of itself as a P5. Boise has a sweetheart deal with the MWC. How are those overcome?

I believe that this conference could get significantly more money per team on average because of who we would be adding: BYU is good at both sports, UNLV, SDSU are good at basketball, Boise State is ok at basketball but good at football, Air Force is good at football. It would effectively destroy the MW so that conference would be making much less money, therefore much less money to Boise St. The bigger issue is BYU (would the all sports deal be better than their WCC basketball and independent football thing?). If the expanded American went with Fox they would get much more money. Honestly, if this conference competed for eyeballs with the Big East in basketball, Fox would rather do business with the better league, the American.

Considering the pompousness of college realignment, there's NO WAY Boise State and SDSU will reverse course and join this conference. They'd be happier to wait until the Big 12 falls apart. How long have you been into college sports??
