The Sun by the end of the game are going to regret the last few minutes. They lead 14-10, but should be up by more then 10 points. They've had so many empty possessions including missed Free Throws.

14-10 Sun for the first quarter. Aces shooting 25%, Sun 37%.

Sun have a nice 13 point lead at the half. However, lead should have been 20+ points with how Las Vegas played and shot the ball.

Jasmine has 29 pts ... 2 Thomas combine for 39 pts of the 51 pts

I am amazed watching how poor the overall quality of play is: terrible decision making, bad passes, out of control mindless driving to the basket. Not a good advertisement for women’s Professional basketball!

How in the world did Connecticut have a losing record this season? Who woulda thunk the hapless Sky actually played the Sun tougher than either the Sparks or Aces?

Inconclusive tests on COVID19 have postponed the Lynx - Storm game :(:(

I see that Laimbeer has taught his players how to play the game the way he did, dirty. They are getting away with pushing off on the defensive end too many times.

When have they ever postponed a game because of this? It must be a big-time player.

What does the level of the player matter? I think they actually said multiple players and have put them in quarantine and additional tests for everyone were done. Hopefully false positives

That was a beat down. Jasmine Thomas just tore up Vegas. Similar to last year's semis when she dominated vs LA in gm 3. Vegas isn't going to win anything if they get nothing from Angel and McBride. I think it'll be a good series.

Inconclusive? What does this actually mean?

The official language

The release from the league, which came out a half-hour before the 2 p.m. starting time, read: “After receiving inconclusive COVID-19 test results today for players with the Seattle Storm, the WNBA announced that Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals between the Seattle Storm and the Minnesota Lynx has been postponed out of an abundance of caution.’’

The league said the players involved have undergone additional testing and are in isolation. A new Game 1 date has not yet been set.

That the test is not conclusive, it needs to have most likely either a different type of swab test or a blood test for a conclusive result. I had a swab test done by the VA before I was to be operated on, it was inconclusive, they couldn't say yes or no on me having Covid-19. So they did a blood test and the results came back negative for it. I was told that about 3 to 5 percent of tests come back inconclusive when they took my blood.

I wonder if the Storm has to be quarantined for 14 days if they will have to forfeit the series. Would it be fair to the other teams to have to wait? I'm just wondering.

It’s a pandemic that doesn’t show up right away the league trying to be safe for both teams

The reason I’m curious about this is they didn’t postpone a previous game when a player had an inconclusive result on a COVID test.

So I’m thinking maybe they don’t want a playoff level game affected by a possible false-positive test. During the regular season they didn’t seem to care.

But if this or these players turn out to be confirmed positive, they should move on. They can’t wait a week or two for these players to be cleared. That’s my feeling anyway.

There's a kind of a conservation law. The test they're using is probably very sensitive, which means it's likely not very specific -- that is, it may be sensitive to closely related coronaviruses. So a borderline positive may not indicate SARS-CoV2. All of the inconclusive tests they've had so far have been negative.

They keep saying players (plural) have borderline tests. I think they don't want the Storm playing down two or three players. Also multiple inconclusive tests make it more likely that there really is a positive, and if someone on the Storm really is sick, they don't want them exposed to other teams' personnel.

The opener of the WNBA playoff series between the Seattle Storm and the Minnesota Lynx was postponed nearly 90 minutes before its scheduled tipoff Sunday because of inconclusive COVID-19 test results for Storm players.

The players with inconclusive results have undergone additional testing and are in isolation, according to the WNBA.

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert was at the hotel when she found out about the inconclusive results and boarded the Storm's bus to let them know.
