Exactly right. This game would energize both fan bases, and you could argue that BC needs that more than we do. What we need is a stable conference with enough clout to score big $$$ from the tv networks. From a football standpoint, the Big East looks pretty fragile and that doesn't exactly help its bargaining position.If you want to go to a more stable conference and if the main barrier is the relationship with one nearby school, then improving that relationship could be of help in achieving the goal.
It may be worth it to some and say "F them" and stay where we are. I don't like either option much at this point, but staying looks worse given the bizarre make-up of the "New Big East."
