Sheesh. Please Govenor don't speak about UConn. Leave that to Pres. Herbst. Don't talk about our athletic programs. Leave that to AD Manuel. Please Govenor don't speak. Ever. Thank you.

Manuel should move fast on that meeting with Defillipo before Gene gets fired.

Malloy can say what ever he wants...he has no control over GDF or Fr Leahy!

If you want to go to a more stable conference and if the main barrier is the relationship with one nearby school, then improving that relationship could be of help in achieving the goal.

It may be worth it to some and say "F them" and stay where we are. I don't like either option much at this point, but staying looks worse given the bizarre make-up of the "New Big East."

Exactly right. This game would energize both fan bases, and you could argue that BC needs that more than we do. What we need is a stable conference with enough clout to score big $$$ from the tv networks. From a football standpoint, the Big East looks pretty fragile and that doesn't exactly help its bargaining position.

I wonder why the sudden burst of love for those sanctimonious s. When it was just Malloy, I chalked it up to his just being an idiot, but when Manuel and Herbst chiming in, maybe it is a plan to publically give GDF cover. Is a move on the horizon?

Hey, I believe in 2nd chances. If BCU wants to apologize for their deceit and treachery, I say we accept it. It's proably worth it to them considering the way they've become the laughingstock of the ACC.

Yes and no.

If there isn't some promise they won't block UConn again, why help them? Their AD is on record as stating he was/is the reason UConn is not in the ACC right now. That happened less than a year ago.

We aren't talking about some minor slight or even some old slight from 10 years ago. This was a major hindrance to all of UConn's athletic endeavors and could have long lasting and very painful repercussions for both the school and the state.

UConn should in no way help them without said promise. That is the long and short of it. To be honest, that might be too late considering the ACC may not expand again.
