I think Siva's pro prospects are OK. He is still faster and more explosive than almost anyone I've ever seen play the game. I believe that, if he developed his shot better (which sucks), he could have a long career in the League. His ball handling is impeccable, his defense is scrappy enough and Lord knows he's still the ex football player who is tougher than anyone can believe. It will depend on his shooting, in the end. His decision-making is already close, having matured nicely and right on time, 3-4 years late, lol.
His physical gifts are off the charts, though and made watching him truly fascinating. He was never boring. I also think Smith can and will return. I love our chances next season, either way. We'd miss Dieng but it would give harrell the minutes which Behanen may not as easily give up this season. Chane played distracted last year for whatever reasons but regrouped nicely and I believe matured into the player we'll see coming up. We have Hancock, Ware, Blackshear (also due for an uptick in game), Behanen, Van Treese and probably Russ all coming back with the #3 recruiting class and Juco POY Chris Jones (PG) coming in. An outlier is Mangok Maithing (yes, 'my thing', lol, and yes, some good jokes there
) who is taller and built like Dieng and will get minutes if for no other reason, to develop. If Russ doesn't return, it will help that Terry Rozier and Anton Gill are firing shots as freshmen, both of whom had 50 point nights at Hargrave this year. I'm bullish on us.
