This may be a stupid question, but I honestly don't know. Did Sarah s5trong know she had one the naismith award before that presentation? Or were all the finalists in attendance waiting to hear the choice?

I’m pretty sure the winners knew in advance. It appeared as if Sarah’s remarks were prepared.

I read that she wrote a speech. Then found out she didn’t need to but once she won decided to give it.
