This is what I generated for the ACC

If that is the bracket then I can see Notre Dame easily getting to the semifinals.

Im sure there are other miss state fans..... but I forget them all..... go to that site... plug in some projections... and you can see the possible scenarios for the SEC tournament
Okay, I just ran the projection.

If Arkansas, A&M and MSU to finish in a 3-way tie, that would mean that A&M will have beaten SC -- thus giving A&M the tiebreaker over the other two. It would also mean Arkansas will have beaten MSU, this giving Arkansas the #3 seed based on H2H.

However, the probability of A&M beating SC in SC is slim to none.

Again, this projection is assuming (a) A&M beats SC (highly unlikely), and (b) Arkansas beats MSU (also unlikely).

I finally made the big time...... after 8 plus years as a member.. I finally get a thread pinned to the top of the board.

Nice! It's funny, I was debating about politely asking the mods if they would do this, but I already feel bad making them sort through all our totally unrelated-to-UConn jibber jabber. Instead, I had just planned to bump it every time it went off the first page, but no need!

I wonder what's the record for most teams tied with the same record in conference? Or the record for biggest gap between consecutive placings?

The Big East has a 5-way tie for third place.

Poor Villanova, the big loser in the 5-way tiebreaker, they're stuck with the #7 seed -- no first-round bye. There's a gap of 8 games between them (at 11-7) and the #8 seed Providence (3-15).

That's pretty crazy. Big 10 had 4 at 9-9 last year and a whopping 7 between 10-8 and 8-10, can't recall a bigger logjam in the middle than that. But yeah, 5 way tie, that's unusual. Someone had to work some OT figuring out that mess for tie breakers.
