Looks like Jim Delaney is trying to get the B1G schools to agree to giving him the power (along with the school presidents) to make decisions on a schools own staffing. They want to be able to suspend, fine, and even fire coaches/ADs/etc of a specific school if they see fit.

At what point does this power grab and control of athletic conferences reach a line?! To me, this seems ridiculous. In what world should a school not be able to determine their own staffing and hiring decisions?!

Could you imagine if the incompetent 'Providence Mafia' had the ability to do this in the Big East?!

What did I say a few days ago?

"Never waste a crisis."

This is the mentality.

It's not about child abuse.

Same thing is going on at PSU. There we have board members who were part of the Second Mile (which itself contributed $600k to the gov's election--a non-profit child abuse contributing $600k??! and then the board members were appointed to PSU's BOT?) sitting around talking about administrative power and oversight.

Sure, give Delany the reins. Why not?
