New thread.

Planned to get Mellencamp tickets for summer at Great Woods. Holy hell, he's charging $300 for the second set of sections. I'm sorry John, but you're not the Beatles. You made your money, your band is just ordinary session guys, no fancy stage show, why are these tickets more than say $150 for the front sections? Good luck selling those. I logged into the presale and they weren't moving. The lower section seats were 500-600+. Somebody wildly miscalculated the appeal.

I grabbed tickets to Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors in Boston at Leader Bank. Friday night summer show, three good bands, should be fun. Lower section, $75. That's more like it. Love the venue except the beer prices. Nice ocean breezes, no bad seats.

Shadowgrass making a run through the Northeast in April. Shows in Fairfield and the O-Mist in Matunuck

Picked up a pair of JRAD and Cat Power tickets for this hella sale.

.-.
2026 but yes, a throwback lineup. That’s ok because there are zero acts since 1996 worth seeing.
I wasn't knocking it, I like all those bands. Just didn't realize any of them are currently active and out touring.

I'm waiting for the Pittsburgh Parks free summer concert schedule to be announced. If I'm going to a show these days, it's gonna be outside, BYOB, and ideally, free. We usually get one or two decent acts each year. I've seen Kurt Vile, Larry Coryell, Fountains of Wayne, John Hiatt, Jean-Luc Ponty and several other national acts over the years. I simply can't take clubs anymore at 70, and arena shows just haven't been worth it to me for years.
