Tickets for AC/DC go on sale Friday. They're the one band out there I've wanted to see and I thought they were done.
Who is left besides Angus?

I’m passing on AC/DC in a football stadium they just weren’t ever that good. At Xfinity I’d be all over it.

I got tickets for 8 people to Rod Stewart with Cheap Trick opening. Can’t go wrong. Increasingly there’s nobody left alive or functioning I still want to see. Most of the later acts after the 80s are meh. Third Eye Blind, meh. Weezer was fun, I’d see them again. I’m told Matchbox 20 is good. Goo goo dolls maybe? But these bands have limited catalogs compared to the older acts. John Fogerty was fantastic two years ago. Bob Seger was really good.

Corey Glover, of Living Color, is playing at Small Batch Cellars in North Haven, CT, this Saturday.

Corey Glover Soul Experience. Music at 7.

I small venue with tables. This is a small "winery" right near Rt 91. My wife and I discovered it in September and this will be our third time attending a cool show. The talent booker once worked for Toad's Place and another CT location.

There could be 60 people there. Or 10. One never knows.

I've heard rumors that Beach House will be touring again in 2025, so looking forward to that potential. Their song "Take Care" was the first dance song at our wedding, so we try to see them each time they are on sale.

Also, Westville had a weak schedule last year, so looking forward to that calendar.

I'm thinking I'm still not going to see them. Unless I hit the lottery.

Friendly heads up: Creed is heading to Hartford 7/22/25. Saw them this year and they were incredible, just like their Y2K days. They sold out everything in 2024, so don't sleep.

On a side note, Mark Tremonti is a force that I am not sure everyone may know about. His catalogue is astounding. He even Has a really nice Christmas album worth checking out.

Got an email that Gracie Abrams is playing at TD Garden in Boston. I'm an old fart and don't listen to pop radio. All I know is that (a) she seems to be very pretty and (b) she's JJ Abrams' daughter. I wouldn't have known she was a big enough act to play a venue like that. Likewise didn't know Noah Kahan would sell out Fenway and would be a huge draw. Have heard some of his stuff and mostly like it.

My question is really this: how are music acts discovered by audiences now? Do they just randomly stream from Spotify? Kids don't even own radios. I know Gracie opened for Taylor Swift, but had to be a name to even land that gig, like Ed Sheeran years ago.

Doesn't really answer your question, but I've heard some of her songs on Pandora. Had no idea who her dad is. She's decent, there's other similar artists I like better.
