CONCACAF Champions League playoffs resume tonight

The all Liga MX v MLS CONCACAF quarterfinals resumes this week.

Tonight:
DC United at Queretaro FC (currently 13th place)
Seattle v CF America (currently in 4th place)

Wedensday:
Tigres (currently in 5th place) v Real Salt Lake
LA Galaxy v Santos (currently in 9th place)

Advantage Mexican clubs who are in the midst of their current season. MLS sides likely to be rusty.

DC is all but dead.

Seattle has an uphill battle.

I can't root for LA, but they should have the best chance to advance from MLS.

Ya, the leagues calendar definitely doesn't favor MLS during the playoffs. Mexican League is pretty much paying year round. They have some weird 2 seasons in a year set up where they play for something like 11 of the 12 months. Hopefully LA and RSL can get results.

MLS with 2 home draws and 1 home loss and 1 away losses. Not surprsing, it should most likely will be an all Mexican semifinal

Morris went from an NCAA soccer title with Stanford (August through November) to practicing/trying-out with Werder Bremen in Germany (Dec) to the USMNT camp in Jan & Feb and now to MLS play. They guy could use a vacation.

RSL and Seattle probably going the same route tonight. Sucks they have to play these games off-season when Mexican league is 8+ games into thier season. Not that the results would be drastically different, but it would level the odds a bit.
