You guys got the game gifted to you by the refs on a silver platter a d you have the gall to complain about officiating? Priceless.
Priceless was the run PC made once UConn's lead hit 15, fueled almost entirely on touch fouls on one end an no-calls on the other.
PC was boxing out with their arms like offensive tackles and were allowed to get away with it. Why would they stop? Early in the second half, Olander had a nice calm, quick conversation with one of the refs about this and amazingly, the refs called a few of these on PC. It lasted a few minutes and then they were back to letting PC's bigs plow the paint again.
The double foul call was ridiculous. The PC big, on the floor getting up reaches behind him as Wolf is running up the floor and grabs his neck. Wolf tries to discard the choke hold and is also called for a foul? Puh-leeeze.
And did the refs really think the RJ's shot was so bad he couldn't find the rim side of the backboard? It was an obvious block/tip, yet they hand the ball to PC.
There were too many to list, and bad/no calls did go in both directions, but there is no doubt which side benefited the most by the way the game was called. To say the game was gifted to UConn by the refs is an outright lie that I can't believe even a PC fan would buy. Unless, of course that PC fan is a former coach with a mic in front of his face.
