We are told to have some perspective on Jack Z. (from the usual) But we aren't goofy teens following a boy band types. We have a long memory of how this has worked out at UConn since Orlovsky. (anyone else think Randy doesn't pronounce his name correctly>?)

Here's a Program we competed with ... and marked to market. They surpass in recruit rankings - particularly at the QB slot. Tell me this doesn't sound like some of our recent past (actually they are on a platform a tier higher with BIG reputations from prep a priori ... so these are more flammable).

Rutgers has failed to throw for 100 yards in 14 of the 38 games Chris Ash has been the team’s head coach, the sixth-most of any team nationally dating back to 2016. The Scarlet Knights have not cracked the 50-yard mark in the air in eight games, tied for the fifth-most nationally in that span. And RU has had a sub-50% pass completion percentage in 20 games, second only to Army’s 26.
Rutgers has signed five scholarship quarterbacks out of high school in Ash’s four recruiting classes: Tylin Oden (2016), Jonathan Lewis (2017), Art Sitkowski (2018), Jalen Chatman (2018) and Cole Snyder (2019).
In addition, Ash brought in three grad-transfers — Zach Allen from TCU in 2016, Kyle Bolin from Louisville in 2017 and McLane Carter from Texas Tech in 2019 — and landed Johnny Langan from Boston College as a transfer who became immediately eligible with an NCAA waiver this year.
The results have been subpar at best.”

OK OK … that is a lot of 3 & 4 Star Ranked kids; I’d provide you with that – but it’s more fun for you to research.

Jack Z. did something on a Saturday. Against a P5 opponent (even if they aren't bigtime ranking). Bwahaha, I am not expecting anything for the next game. But we have not seen this. And neither has Rutgers. BC. recently.

Weren’t you yelling at the rest of us to wait several games before expressing our opinions?

good start for the kid and interested to see where this leads. But this may be the last program in America that should be poking fun at any other program's QB issues.

Or ...

We need perspective. OUR QB problems are very common. And, across about 10 programs near us - including Rutgers & BC (in recent years) - this has been the case. Maryland too. The Dan Orlovsky event is unusual for us ... for our region. USC Alabama Georgia ... sure. But mostly its a long trail of hopefuls.
