Trio of #UConn football commits shine as Milford Academy wins opener

"UConn signee Jordan Fuchs had four catches for 49 yards as Milford Academy began the 2013 season with a 22-20 win over Globe Institute ib Saturday.

According to the game report, fellow UConn commits Jamar Summers and Chasz Wright started and played the entire game at cornerback and offensive tackle respectively."

While there are no numbers to report for offensive tackle Chasz Wright (although Milford Academy did run for 209 yards), the other two UConn commits had impact plays in the 42-20 win over Massachusetts Maritime on Sunday.

Jordan Fuchs, a tight end from Malvern, N.Y., had three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown while Jamar Summers, a cornerback from East Orange, N.J., had three tackles including a tackle for a loss.

In two games Fuchs had seven catches for 94 yards while Summers has five total tackles and a fumble recovery.<<

I have asked this before and got no answer. I was wondering who pays the tuition for the Kids that have signed the NLI for Uconn and maybe due to a lack of scholarships are sent to Milford for a year of seasoning?

I am almost 100% positive that NCAA rules prohibit colleges from helping players and their families pay for post grad years.

Boy that sucks knowing you had an offer till the school found they didn't have enough to go around.
