OSU stinking up the court so far. 4 straight TOs to start the game. 11-10 Colorado leading.

21-17 Colorado after Q1. This is ugly.

If transitive properties work in sports, Oregon should beat Utah by about 100 today...

Finally getting a little momentum, up 32-25. Pivec and Slocum getting going.

Slocum just needed to start taking shots to make things right.

40-30 OSU at halftime. Slocum w/ 12.

Canada is calling the game again. Maybe she spent the weekend in Corvallis. She seems more relaxed today, improvement from her first broadcast. Good for her!

I wonder why she’s not making overseas money?

Slocum is just carrying OSU, they are back to stinking it up again. 47-43 lead.

Both teams bricking FTs. 50-46 OSU thru Q3. I've been concerned about the way the Beavs have been playing for the most part since the Miami game. Might come back to bite them today.

Pivec taking over Q4. 6 points, some O boards. Another double-double for her, 13 reb. and counting. Beavs up 59-50 now.

Pivec w/ 15 boards today, a few assists shy of a triple double. Jones also has a double double. 67-55 Beavs lead. They've missed a ton of layups, but Colorado has been atrocious from the FT line. Not a real pleasing game overall. 1:38 left.

72-60 final. Beavs need to get their act together, upcoming trip to the Arizona schools, Bay Area teams at home and then back to back games against Oregon. That stretch could really define their season.

Whoa, 7 of 16 from the free throw line, that's almost the MOV right there.

Extremely surprising that Colorado got more O-boards than OSU.

Yeah, that was concerning. CU didn't convert on enough of them. Lots of teams would've beaten OSU today, the way they played.

Goodman and Tudor have got to get going behind the arc. That should be a strength for them, but it's just not happening this season.

Colorado is not as good as their record (obviously), but I don't think they're the fraud some have said; rather, they are a very young team with imo a fair amount of potential (and a terrific freshman point guard). Oregon put them on their heels from the start with a trapping defense that caused a bundle of turnovers, but that's not Oregon State's MO (it wasn't Oregon's until very recently) and it allowed Colorado some room (and confidence) to run their offense the way they were supposed to, albeit with less than stellar shooting.

On the other hand, Pivec is something, isn't she? An amazing player in every way.

I think so!

Yeah, forcing TOs isn't OSU's thing, but Colorado only had 5 today. Probably a poor comparison, but it's a bit like a football team who refuses to blitz and just let's the other team's QB sit there in the pocket all comfortable and pick them apart. OSU experimented w/ some pressing in OOC but seems to have completely abandoned that.

Minyon Moore is the big reason for the effective trapping Oregon defense even though it takes the other four layers. Nice to see her thrive in a different system.

Oregon State is at its best when Slocum is initiating the offense. Goodman and Tudor are elite shooters. That is what they do best. Goodman has struggled the past six games.

I think that it would take some pressure off Goodman to allow Slocum or Pivec to initiate the offense. Opposing defenses are smothering Goodman at the top of the offense and the ball movement for the Beavers has been slow of late as a result. Slocum changes that because opposing defenses have to respect her ability to drive.
