It's hard for a UConn fan to feel sympathy for PAC12 teams' travel issues. UConn plays 2 conference games in Texas and 2 in Fla. Then there's Tulane & E Carolina. They also play alternating home and home games against Okl & Baylor. The trip to N Dame every other year involves flying through Chicago and busing to S Bend. I agree that there is a dearth of reasonably talented teams outside the PAC12 west of the Rockies but a flight to the mid west is not much longer than a 3-4 hour bus ride. I suspect that RPI's of league mid-rangers and below are helped by a bunch of home game wins against over-matched opponents who will post nice records of their own against their own level (150-250). But getting to the NCAA's is enough to let a coach keep their job and I can't blame the coaches for using the RPI/SOS. It's really the AD's that need to step up and give more than lip-service to the idea of building the image of wcbb. If 4 of the top 10 teams are west of the Rockies then they should each make a couple of trips east of the Rockies/year. I give credit to Oregon, Baylor, S Car, Tenn for squeezing in OOC games vs UConn after New Years.
