Well, it appears that the University of Hawaii will lead the country in official visits.
Yeah I can hear parents now telling their kid to show (i.e. feign) interest in UH. Kid of course doesn't give a dam, but his parents' pushing the hell out of him. Their window being winter break of course.

St Johns could be number 2.

My son had a friend who went on four "official" recruiting visits to the U. of Texas. Not only did they pay for all of them, they also paid for his entire entourage (no parents included). My son went on one trip, along with a few other friends from their football team, and the recruit went on three more with various other friends of his. Paying for the parents is likely just an excuse to continue with this particular tradition. I guess if the parents don't go, the money it would have cost them for that can be spent on the recruit's entire entourage. ;)
