That's Edsall's gift. He looks at high school players and can project where they will be in a couple of years.

It's really hard to project high school linemen. Will the big guys still dominate in college when they go against bigger, stronger opponents? Will the smaller guys with big frames retain their quickness and athleticism when they fill out?

Edsall's hit rate on these questions is terrific.
