Notable games and goings on: (Encompassing Saturday & Sunday)

Next UConn game: Tuesday Dec. 8th vs Maryland @ 9pm. Terp-a-Derp.

Next 5 games after:
-Sat. Dec. 12th vs Ohio St. 12pm
-Sun. Dec. 20th vs UMass-Lowell 4pm
-Wed. Dec. 23rd vs CCSU 12:30pm
-Tue. Dec. 29th at Texas 9pm
-Sat. Jan. 2nd at Tulane 7:30pm

UConn in the NBA: The Hornets beat the Bulls and Kemba had 24 pts, 11 rbs, 5 ast, Lamb had 10 pts, nice win. Kings lost to the Rockets, Rudy with 15 pts, Caron DNP. Orlando lost to the Clips, Bazz with 2 & 2 in 11 min. Drum with his usual 18/15 in a win against the Lakers. Charlie had a nice game (10/4) in limited time in a Dallas win against the Wiz. Rudy with 20/7 and Caron DNP in a loss to the Thunder.

Future UConn opponents: Georgetown beat #14 Syracuse 79-72 (1 down, 8 to go), UMass-Lowell lost to NJIT 90-77, CCSU lost to Fordham 86-54 (Nych Smith had 10 pts. Wonder if Jashire Hardnett is hurt, still hasn't played a minute for them), OSU beat VMI 89-62, In what was probably their Super Bowl UMass-Lowell beat BC 68-66 (AH-HAHAHAHA)

Former UConn opponents: #13 Gonzaga lost to #19 Arizona 68-63 (Bummer), Michigan beat Houston Baptist 82-57 (Serves 'em right, the mascot thieving bastards), Sacred Heart lost to Towson 83-61, Maine lost to Marquette 104-67 (Traci Carter with 10/7/7/4)

Top 25 Action: #3MSU beat Binghampton 76-33 (POY Candidate Denzel Valentine w/13 pts, 12 rbs, 4 ast), #4 Kansas beat Harvard 75-69 (Devonte' Graham, who I still wish we had gotten mostly for last year's sake, had 12 pts), #7 Duke beat Buffalo 82-59 (Will Grayson Allen's ppg be +/- 20 at the end of the season? I say under), #9 UNC beat Davidson 98-65, #10 Virginia beat William & Mary 67-52, #11 Purdue beat New Mexico 70-58, #12 Xavier beat Western Kentucky 95-64 (On 12/12 they play Cincy. I gotta say if there were a team outside of the P5 other than UConn that I'd like to see win it all, it'd be a team like the Musketeers. I've always liked them), #16 Vandy lost to#25 Baylor, #18 Texas A&M lost to ASU 67-54, #20 WVU beat Kennesaw St. 87-54, #21 Miami beat Charlotte 88-60, #23 Providence squeaked by URI 74-72 (Dunn had 15/5/5, Bentil is clearly a player and his name rhymes with my favorite type of soup), #24 Louisville beat Grand Canyon 111-63

Our AAC Chum(s): #22 SMU beat UNH 98-44, Temple lost at Wisconsin 76-60 (Was it wrong of me to expect the Owls to be decent this year?), Tulsa lost to Oral Roberts 70-68 (Barf), Latino Coach Faceoff: USF lost to the Gamecocks 81-63, Tulane lost to G-Tech 76-68, Memphis beat Southeast Missouri St. 80-65 (Does that mean there are 8 directional Missouri St's? Plus a Central Missouri St. probably? And probably a plain 'ole Missouri St. to boot?), UCF beat UIC 88-58, #17 Cincy beat Morgan St. 87-66

P5 Winners: NC St. (AMA with 11/9), Penn St., Utah, Nebraska, Cal, Northwestern, Iowa, Va Tech (Chris Clarke didn't shoot well but had 14/6), Illinois, Ole Miss beat UMass, Oregon St., Indiana, TCU, Wash St., Colorado, FSU beat VCU (XRM with 23 pts, 7 rbs, 4 ast, 3 stl), Clemson, Pitt

P5 Upsets: The battle for New Jersey was won by Seton Hall as they beat Rutgirls, Minnesota lost to South Dakota in 2OT, OK St. lost to Missouri St.

Other News & Notes: No burn for Leon again, UCLA & Washington both playing right now

Is this format ok? Should I bullet stuff to be easier to read or is it ok? I fear it may look like it just runs together. Would it be better if I reserved commentary? Anything anyone would like to see covered that isn't? Hello? McFly?

Excellent stuff.

For the record: Southwest Missouri State (the one that was actually decent at basketball for a time) became just plane old Missouri State. A promotion of sorts. Southeast Missouri balances out (naturally) Northwest Missouri State. There is also a "University of Central Missouri ", which has no "state" and a Missouri Southern State U and a Missouri Western State U. You can't make this stuff up.
