Hartford 60, Rutgers 58.
Presented without comment...
What a strange year Hartford is having. Win over the B1g, win over a MAC team, but some really terrible losses. This site has them going 4-12 in conference with the 8 seed.
Same site has UConn going 7-11 in conference and finishing 8th in the AAC.
I am already on record as saying I am not sold on Pikiel yet. Nice guy but not who I would choose at this point.
Louisville losing by 30 to Kentucky
I guess the logical assumption is that Gallagher is a better coach than Pikiell?
Good lord some of these blocks Mo Bamba's doing vs Kansas are amazing. Already 5 w/ 5min to go in 1st half. He just got one at the apex at least 6" above the top of the square.
Kids a beast!
Where would we be if we ended up with Bamba? He's a freak
There are going to be some pretty good teams on the bubble this year. KU game 92-86 WVU game 85-79. Both losing teams looked ok. That big kid for Texas was what Brimah would grow into as he matured (in my dreams), no amount of coaching can get a big kid to have that kind of body and hand control.
Bamba finished w/ 22pts, 15reb, 8blk in a tough loss.
Kansas shoots 3's like crazy (17-35) & had higher % from 3pt range vs 2pt range.
Texas took a page from our playbook and shot 28% (7-25) from 3pt range
Tevin Mack could have been the missing piece for Texas as it relates to a potential E8 or FF run. I mean a TM with his head screwed on right tapping into his true shooting potential puts Texas at the top of the B12 (top 3ish) IMO
Losing at home in the B12 really hurts. The league is deep and loaded this year. OOC they pretty much killed it. Texas is still dangerous of course and Mo B. is a game changer.
I watched the second half of the zona/ASU game, Zona is finally starting to put it together, won't be surprised if they make a run to the final4
Texas Tech moves up to #5 KP with win @ Kansas. I have not researched it but other than transfer Brandone Francis does the roster have any other Top 100 guys? I do not think Culver is.
Also this Reilly S & C guy has been a key part of creating the culture change at a school with little to no tradition with basketball.
Strength and conditioning coach Reilly brings new attitude, deepens Red Raiders team bond
Seeing them up there with A&M (as well as TCU cracking the freaking top 10...) is yet another sign of how the P5 "perception is reality" dogma is spreading from basketball into football.
