Anyone catch the end of the UNC Clemson game? Brad Brownell was livid during the coaches handshake with Roy Williams. I must have missed it, what was that about?
I believe it had to do with Meeks continuously trash talking the Clemson bench during the game. Probably telling Brownell that NC owns Clemson which they do.
Clemson had their chances.
Makes you believe the game was rigged. I mean, everyone in the building was watching the guy with the ball, and not one ref called it.
If it makes you feel any better just rest assured that this would never happen to us.
To be fair the officiating was total crap the entire game.
Grayson is back. No surprise at all. Big game for GTown vs providence. Nova down 1 to butler
miami down 10 at cuse
Nice when it hands you a buzzer victory though amirite?
Villanova goes down. Butler fans storming the court.
league will issue an oooops apology but as long as KU wins - the league is happy
same as that Grayson Tripper Allen vs UVA last year
Yeah, I will take it. Not being discussed is Josh Jackson getting a technical called on him after he got hammered and yelled "foul" while a KSU player slams the ball on the court and all he gets from the official is "I protected you on that one." The officiating was poop all the way around.
The timekeeper kept running an extra 5 seconds off the clock every other player for the last few minutes, and the refs had to go correct it every single time. Butler should be embarrassed.
Anyone watching Cincinnati @ Houston on ESPNU? Winner gets first place in the AAC
Nevada @ NMex...ending was insane! WolfPack down 17 with under 3 minutes win it in OT. Lol
Down 14 with 1:03 to play I think. What a game. College hoops the greatest sport on earth!
I watched that game, the wolfpack hit 7-3's in the last 1:50 to force overtime.
They are going to be a team to watch next season, they will be returning a bunch players, plus the Martin twins will be ready to play.
They lose Marshall though who has been lights out for them this season at SG. If they add a shooter to replace him and Cam returns they will be real real good next year.
Nevada actually lost their best player statistically to arrest this year during the season.
Not much on right now. State getting pounded by UNC. Nebraska Northwestern on BTN.
anyone miss this? reminds me of a game i played in when i was 14 @ an aau tourney at east granby high, came back from down 10 with a minute left. this was insane.
how old are you? Not sh it ing you, I may have been on the team you played against. I still revile that game and that ugly purple crusader on the floor of the east Granby gym.
3 banked in 3s!!!!
Hold on...I think I was on that team, too. Afternoon game, right?
No I'm just kidding. But also from the realm of crazy - Stony Brook finished their game on a 21-0 run today to beat Albany 72-70. They trailed by 19 with less than six minutes left.
In the only CBB game outside the swac today Georgetown beat St Johns 83-55.
Think that's the craziest final minute I've ever seen. The guy banging all the threes has the ugliest/strangest shot, he does like a scissor kick split thing.
Hankins was a Northwestern women's basketball player whose death has recently been ruled a suicide.
I know I've joked about how often Purvis' personality is mentioned on here, but guy clearly gets it. I searched twitter hoping that this story hadn't been buried by everything else going on in sports and his tweet was one of the first and only things that popped up. There are some guys who make this their shtick - R.I.P. and condolences to anybody who just died - but Purvis seems to be in touch with his emotions in a way that is unusual for somebody his age.
He's not foreign to sudden traumatic loss of close one(s). Tough that it's had to happen to such a stand-up guy but I have to imagine he has become a better person for it.
Yeah, that was my thought as well.
