It's been a while since we've done one of these...

UConn and Stanford have had three more wins since this was updated so Geno is 1080 and Tara at 1085.

so if Tara gets 8 more regular season, two in PAC 10 tourney and 4 in the NCAA, she passes Pat this year. If UConn wins out they get 9 regular season, 3 in AAC, 6 in NCAA, he ties Pat, and it is a big if. As we said in Brooklyn, wait till next year. Go Bums.

It is going to be a near thing, but I think Pat keeps the record until next fall when first Tara and then Geno will both pass it.

Stanford has the Potential of losing 3 or 4 more games prior to the PAC 12 tournament. How many games will they play and Win in the PAC 12 Tournament? Could be one or as many as three if they get to the championship game. Geno and UConn MIGHT lose one or two more regular season games and then SHOULD play and win three AAC Post Season Games. Its possible before the NCAA tournament, that Geno will cut into the current 5 Game lead that Tara has over him. OF course its also possible that Tara will extend her lead over Geno to 6 or 7 Games if Stanford goes undefeated the rest of the way.

It's pretty wild how close of a race this is. I think the bettor's odds are that Tara ties Pat this year, but Stanford has a lot of games left that could go either way. And between the Pac-12 and NCAA tournaments, the range of reasonably possible scenarios is wide. A big factor might be whether Haley Jones can come back.

As of now Massey projects 7 more regular season wins, so that would be 1092, Tara would need 3 and 4 or 2 and 5 in the post season to pass Pat. Certainly doable and Massey has them as the favorite in 8 of their last 10 games.

Don’t expect any details from Stanford on Jones injury. They haven’t provided any information on Dodson & Carrington either, and both players have been out for almost the entire season.
