By contrast, Virginia Tech hired its current coach in 2024 from Marquette. She hired three assistants with significant ACC ties (only one of them spent one season with her at Marquette). The result? A 0.500 ACC record and a spot on the NCAA bubble in a season where the team was supposed to be an abomination thanks to Kenny Brooks' antics.
