Lived in the same floor (Watson 5) with Souleymane. He was a very solid dude. Very normal guy. I actually made a sketch comedy TV show on the local closed circuit UCONN TV Network (UCTV). Souleymane had a small cameo on one of the episodes. To be honest, I'm not sure if he really understood it was going to be broadcast on UCTV.... I'm not even sure if he understood what UCTV was. I wonder if UCTV still exists.

I don't know about anybody else, but this play is the first thing I think of when I hear the name Souleymane Wane (and indeed it was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread title). As far as things to be remembered by go, this is pretty darn good.

Fellow Watson 5 guy here. Souleymane and Khalid lived in the corner room down the hall from me. That door rarely opened without a cloud of pot smoke emanating from it.

We musta been on the floor at or around the same time. Yeah, smoked with Khalid one time. It was an ok floor. Rip, Kevin, Monquencio, Khalid, Soul, Mike Leblanc (for a minute). I was there 2 years. I dont think all those guys were there at the same time.

Freeman and Rip were on the third floor when I was there (one year, 97-98).

We also had Michael Jordan living on the floor . . .

Also pretty sure that we had the most damage fines on campus that year. My mom freaked out when she saw the bill. Between fire alarm pulls and busted toilets I think it was over $500 per resident.

Rip and Kevin were on 5 when i was there. Yes, i knew Mike Jordan as well. Lost touch with him after UCONN. I think he became an accountant

Edit: Its possible Rip and Kevin were on 5 one year and 3 the second year i was there. My memory is sketchy.

Ten or so years ago, we're parking in X-lot before a game when a beat-up van pulls in. The side door slides open and a bunch of dudes spill out inside a massive cloud of smoke. Reminded me of Spiccoli's crew in Fast Times. The tall guy was Travis Knight. I figured that's why he had to get out of Utah.

Reminds me of Khalid's trouble in Hartford before the Victory parade in 1999. Some fan at the parade had a sign that read, "Khalid next time, buy a key". Logan Byrnes who was a reporter for WTIC said "I don't even know what that means". I thought that was hilarious that Logan was so naive unless he just feigned ignorance.

A core memory of junior year was Rip and Freeman siting on my couch relentlessly hitting on Alyssa Benedict when she was campaigning for student trustee.
