...he could not reach a bowl game in his first year here despite inheriting a team coming off a BCS bowl appearance, had another 7 loss season the following year despite having a Don Brown-led Top 5 defense at his disposal, and by year three was running off a team that was arguably the worst in D1 football that year until an adult (Weist) took over and turned things around. Screw him.
 
Any respect due the jackazz was lost after the Syracuse game where Whitmer was obviously hurt and put that kid in position to continue to get pounded when there was no line protection.

So he should have put the backup in to get pounded?

So the lesson here is to never hire a DL wiz to be your head coach?

PP had head coaching success at Syracuse too. Also was an assistant coach in the NFL. We hire him and he and his sidekick GDL drag the program into the ground.

Not looking at this with one bit of hindsight. Don't care if he's turned BCU's D into the '86 Bears. At the time he had to go.

BTW - FSU sucks this year.
 
I can’t even imagine what the OP was intended to accomplish other that to draw attention.

P was an unmitigated, total and complete duck*ing disaster as HC at UCONN.

Yep, plus without the idiot twins, there is no Red Pant era (error.) Suck begets suck.
 
Trying to remember that mid week game against Pitt that was on National TV. I was at a conference at Columbus, OH. Lou Holtz was doing color and kept saying that the UConn DL was doing some interesting and sophisticated things.

He obviously was hurt and they could have went into run mode. They were passing every play and SU was teeing off on the kid with score out of hand . Viewed in the context of some of the other highly demotivational garbage allegedly going on with GDL, I find those two pathetic excuses for coaches. Coaching is more than just X and Os. They have a special
relationship and duty to look out for their players in advancing more than football skills at the college level. Bad dudes in my opinion.

I buy mine at Dietrich Farms. Philip the Short Round guy has been really helpful.

The spread was 4, if you are surprised BC won then you are simply looking at team names and not at the actual teams at all.
