This is actually ridiculous. His defensive impact really transcends the eye test... and he looks like the best defender in the conference by the eye test.

The game changer is now that his mobility and conditioning is back, he looks like the version of DC we expected this year - that month on the shelf did wonders for his ability to move around and just command the paint.

If this is his base level performance when healthy and in shape plus continues to show touch and ability from outside , in addition to his vision/passing. A deep UConn run will have his draft stock sky rocket imo.

Broadcast yesterday that said he lost 10-15lbs during his time off as he worked on conditioning and diet... that's crazy to lose that muc weight mid-season, but it's paid off!

Cling Kong looks much more spry running the floor and closing out. His conditioning is improved... didn't seem winded in his minutes for the first time all year. His defensive impact in the paint is on par with Thabeet/Okafor. Game-changing.

On offense, that rediscovered quickness combined with length and height is basically a cheat code on the offensive glass. And he keeps making strides and getting coached up on his footwork. That drop-step bucket started at the foul line was a thing of beauty.

Our ceiling of a national championship becomes much more achievable with him healthy and well-conditoned. Fingers and toes crossed that he can stay that way for the next 2 months.
