Geez, no love for the outgoing Panthers. I hope the new BE members are ready to feel the "BY Love" should they do anything to piss off the board. Lighten up boys...we're on our way to the ACC eventually.

Due to the way they've played us, and the superiority complex of their fanbase considering they haven't accomplished anything on the national landscape, I had utter disdain for Pitt long before the move to the ACC, they don't lose enough for my tastes. On another note, Xavier and Cincy have gone on completely different paths since the fight.

Don't let that Big East door hit you in the ass too hard on your way out. The BY roots for most of the BE teams w/ the exception of a few, Pitt being among them. Even if you weren't leaving the BE we'd still taunt you.

Pitt is one school I can really see crash and burn in the near future. The Big East provided them a massive recruiting line in NYC and they only had to sell themselves against a bunch of Catholic schools with sub-par facilities and fanbase. In the ACC they will be nothing special.

I know a one public school in Storrs and one private school in Syracuse who might suggest they had more than just a few Catholic schools with sub-par facilities and fanbases to recruit against.

Pitt board in meltdown and Dixon taking heat for running off Birch.

I can't find myself rooting for Cincy, even against Pitt.

Pitt fans are slightly delusional, since Dixon is the best coach they've ever had and the sole reason they think they are good enough to get rid of him.

If you've watched that team at all this year, just not very good. They have a hard time putting the ball in the hole. This spiral they're going through is kind of fun to watch. With the implosion of the BE, I'm not sure I care much for routing for anyone in the conference anymore.

Notice the difference in Boneyarder's attitude towards Pitt versus Syracuse. The Pitt President was the head of the BE conference during negotiations with ESPN over the contract renewal and it is known he personally vetoed the ESPN offer. When Pitt accepted the ACC offer, it left the BE in a position in which it potentially would get less monies from ESPN or other media outlets than had been previously been offered. So hence the bad taste. Had he not vetoed that contract the resentment would have been different by many of the Boneyarders.

No one resents the movement of teams to other conferences. The resentment comes from the way the universities handle the departure. In WV's case, they are trying to move prior to the contracts stipulation, a contract they helped write. If they withdraw early the BE would not have enough football teams to be a viable football conference. No one resents their departure to the B12 as long as they honor their commitment and allow the BE the time to replace them. They are not doing this and hence the resentment towards them on the football forums.
