Cincinnati to Play 2014 Games at Paul Brown Stadium

Saw this. A good little ploy to boost their average attendance. All they need is a few games over 50,000 and draw their "normal" attendance and they will overshadow whatever boost in average attendance UCONN will surely have because of our 2013 home schedule.

Yes sir, Mr. MH3.

I can tell what they are going to say right now: "our average attendance is up from last year and we're adding seats and renovating our on-campus stadium". Sell job for the B12 or ACC. They've had more recent football success than us so that's why 8+ wins, sold out Rent, and good road and bowl showings by us fans are all vital this season.

Honestly do people think that the people who run conferences are idiots?

Cincinnati isn't going to fool anyone nor are they trying to.

Is Warde supposed to get an NFL stadium built in Hartford to do the same thing?

uh....we are upgrading/expanding Nippert Stadium in 2014...like, we gotta play somewhere-n-stuff. Playing at PBS (we all loathe the idea) is a have to because we can't play in Nippert while it's under construction. Soooo...this isn't some "ploy" for average attendance etc.

UCONN should counter this by playing all 2013 games at the Yale Bowl while the scoreboard construction is finalized.

Playing in an NFL stadium could be a drag if the place is half empty.

This is officially the worst thread on the first page of this board.

I will no longer be monitoring this situation.

Where else are they going to play while their stadium is being renovated?
Exactly the point. They have their usual 35000 and it will look like 10k in that stadium. I get that they are pushing the heck out of this , but it is a one time deal.
