Christyn Williams named AAC player of the week

"UConn women's basketball sophomore Christyn Williams was tabbed the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Monday after helping the Huskies to two league wins. Williams averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists and a steal in UConn's 2-0 play last week.

UConn women’s basketball team still ranked No. 1 as matchup with Baylor looms.

Against Wichita State on Thursday, she was all over the court, scoring 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds and a team-high six assists."

Well deserved and now becoming a secret no longer even to some UConn fans. She has the muscle, moxie and fearlessness to mix it up with the bigs and still come away with a rebound. Integral to this years team making the deep run.
A player to watch even when she does not have the ball. Becoming a team leader by example, silent but deadly.
