It is also known as the wine city, due to some high-class wineries that started (and are still going strong there). 20-30 minute drive from Tel Aviv, 40 minutes from Jerusalem, great location, great beaches. The team there is young and athletic, having made it to the league finals last year with a squad that progressed together from juniors to senior teams, a great story. Lost the series after a very tight loss in game 5. The league does feature several American and European players, most notably Evina Westbrook 😁😁😁 who signed for Hapoel Be'er Sheva (down south in the desert, new and every exciting club) and Dyaisha Fair who signed for Maccabi Haifa up north.
