I'm all over it. Spent an hour outside last week with the kiddos watching the Geminids.

update: both planets easily visible with the naked eye. Crystal clear in NC. Its in the western sky here fairly low on the horizon.

Cloudy here in Pgh. Was watching the Kopernick feed, but cloudy there too. Hopefully the Lowell (AZ) and Wilson (CA) feeds will have clear skies.

I don't expect to be around in 2080 for the next one, and even if I made it to age 124, I don't think I'd appreciate it, lol.

Way too foggy in South Windsor tonight. My dad texted me to look though

Saw it through 10x binoculars right after sunset
Saturn was still about 1/16” to the right of Jupiter. So you didn’t see a true conjunction

Found it tonight with the naked eye...I downloaded Sky Map App which made it simple. It should be visible for a few more days, but you have to catch it before or a little after sunset otherwise it is too low on the horizon. Going to bust out the telescope if it is clear tomorrow.

A bit of a dud. Didn't seem that insanely bright compared to the other stuff out there.

I had clear skies and a great view, but TBH, last week I was able to see the space shuttle between 5:30-5:45 and that was more impressive.

I'm not a big astronomy guy, but if you tell I can walk outside my house shortly after sunset and see something cool, I'll make the effort.

Cloudy here but I'm drinking a Sweet Baby Jesus peanut butter porter.
Go down to the beach around 5:30. I was down there for a run last night and East Wharf parking lot was as packed as a midsummer day with people coming down for a view. I saw it perfectly well throughout the run, even when a few clouds floated by. People were snapping photos of it from all over down there.
