Chris Paul is the ultimate pro. If Castle wants to be a point guard, he could not have anyone better to learn from. Paul may eat into SC's minutes a bit, but that's okay. Paul won't play more than 20 minutes a game, I don't think. And even if the Spurs don't see SC as a point, he can still learn how to be a pro from Paul. Win/win, I think. I believe this is great news.

CP III is toast. He's just chasing the ring he'll never have

Play Castle, grow with kids

It has to be so frustrating for Castle that people even question his PG abilities because of the sacrifices he made here when it comes to his long term career.

He's chasing a ring by signing with one of the worst teams in the NBA?

Young with a generational player.

SC was not going to play 35 minutes no matter what, CP is a guy that has liked to be pushed and likes to push his teammates, the latter has not always won him popularity contests with teammates. I think it’s great for SC and Wemby. BTW—Pop doesn’t put up with nonsense so not like there is a dysfunctional culture.

Which is why they might win a title when Chris Paul is 50. But they'll be lucky to make a play in game next year let alone compete for a championship

This is the best outcome you could ask for Steph.
Steph will learn leadership, running the system, demanding the most from your players, and mastering the pick and roll.......all from one player.

So happy this worked out the way it did.

But everyone agrees the spurs are years away from true contention. CP3 to spurs cannot be considered ring chasing unless you admit your a madman

Perhaps instead he can be viewed as the best veteran of the last 20 years to mentor your future PG…..while also making your team more competitive currently. The Spurs are….really smart.

He got drafted number 4. Who’s questioning his pg abilities?

This isn't Pop's first rodeo. He knows what he's doing(re:Chris P) which is in the best interest of Steph. You can take that to the bank.Steph is the long play with Wemby.
