Why have you conflated possibilities with announcements.

Surely you'd agree that a player listing his top 20 schools would be silly.
Maybe you'd agree that saying "I've narrowed my list down to 15," would also be a bit contrived.

We agree, we just have different numbers.

My perspective is - when you have it down to 2 or 3 schools, let us know. Until then, what's the point, other than "look at me, look at me"?

There are a lot of kids who want to flaunt their impressive lists, but there are just as many (or more) who don't but are forced to by the constant calls from media members/recruiting services asking them who they're considering. Maybe you should stop generalizing every 16/17/18-year-old kid as a self-promoter?
