I'm really happy for him. He's going to build on this confidence and I have a feeling that he's going to deliver for us later in the season in a really big spot...

He has been great on his kickoffs all year. Now he is hitting field goals.

He was reaching the goal line each time and FAU did not attempt to return. Big leg.

Jury still out on Mora‘s decision. Ruelas had a 50yarder and was 8 for 8 on extra points for JMU in their rout of Carolina.

I think Freeman will do fine this year. He is ranked 37th in kickoffs and has made 19 out of 19 xtra points. Unfortunately, he missed 3 long field goals to start the season, but made 2/2 yesterday and now is 2/5 for the season. Ruelas has been replaced on kickoffs by a transfer kicker from CCSU, is 12/13 on xtra points, and 5/6 on field goals.

This is really important for us to keep in mind. All of his other metrics are great. The future is bright for him...

Looking back on Freeman's rough start to the season I wonder if the fact that Mora attempted all those long field goals was actually a good sign of things to come even though he missed them. Granted I'm not sure what else Mora could have done in those situations except go for 3, but I think it showed some confidence as well. I mean he could have punted

Love that self awareness. We're going to need him many times this year and a Bowl game could be riding on it just as it was for Dave Teggart. A reliable Field Goal kicker is indispensable and worth the big NIL when its crunch time and we trail by two.
