A great road win in Austin TX.

Again, a disparity in foul shot attempts (24 to 16 attempts) . Time for the Casual Fans to wake up and admit Hurley has a point. Fouls were called when Texas got contact on their shots, we had a very different experience.

Karaban did very good in his return, a double / double (22 pts/11 rbs). His teammates showed some promise to his meeting the quality of his timing on offense.

Give Texas credit erasing a 20 point deficit by subperb 3 point shooting but then the 3’s cooled off.

I thought Samson Johnson rolled to the basket with timing like he did last season and we benefited from that.

Ball (16 points) and McNeeley (9 rebounds) played well. When McNeeley missed shots he makes it up with rebounds. Reed and Johnson combined for 24 points at the center position.

Hassan had more assists (11) than the entire Texas team. Good unselfish play,

Defense was pretty good the first half. In the 2nd half Johnson for Texas was on fire. We did not allow much penetration this game.

Offense was moving the ball well the first 30 min. Of the game. Nice to see 21 assists.

It is nice to see AK back. My unsung heroes are HD and YS. HD had a difficult assignment and dished out 11 assists. I don't expect much from YS but he gave us 8 minutes when our bigs were in foul trouble.

That kid Johnson is good, if Texas ran decent sets he would be even better.
I heard Bilas compare him to Ray, but I don't see that comparison.

Reminds me a bit like a shorter Paul George.

Nonetheless, he's very talented, and seems to have a high level of competitiveness.

He'd be even better if he'd stop running his mouth - he'll be silent quick at the next level - he is a really good offensive player

I see a bigger CJ McCollum

This is the perspective I am taking; it's not going to be a linear journey. I expect the chart of UConn performance this year to look like a yo-yo going up stairs. But look at today, we beat the snot out of this team in their own gym. Texas was favored. People are underestimating UConn again? Is everyone on dope?

100%. This team is going to look a helluva lot different in February/March than November/December. Growth from season to season and month to month is a big reason why we favor college sports. Embrace it.

Yes, Mr. Hand. We all are.
