We shoot 48% they shoot in the 39% but the Big East officials kept DePaul in the game with a 28 to 10 foul shot advantage. For those who think Val Ackerman does a good job, think again.

Losing McNeeley is big especially with conference games ahead.

Hurley is back to his Mahaney at point guard experiment, while he had some good moments the +|- with him in or out of the game really hurts with him at PG rather than shooting guard. Diarra had foul trouble but perhaps put Ball at point when Diarra is out and move Mahaney to shooting guard where he is more comfortable. He did nail down 7 points.

Ball and Karaban 3’s won the game for us. A combined 11-17 from three or 33 points. Diarra had 9 of our 22 assists but was hurt by fouls. We led DePaul in assists 22 to 13 but the officials gave them numerous assists with foul shots.

As big of an advocate I am of Ball playing PG, he does not look comfortable putting the ball on the floor enough to do so.

Think Nowell should get more time. Ball would be a lottery pick easily if we could teach him to do anything else at a high level to go with his shooting.

We have to find a way for him to start to utilize his elite athleticism to pair with his shooting next year.

Apparent you did not watch Ball handle the ball. The Huskies has zero TOs (after a TOfest) when Mahaney entered the game.
Mahaney had a good game but can’t consistently get the team into their half court offense. I like Mahaney but I like him at shooting guard.

That guy Enright could have been called for about a million fouls.

Called zero times.

Ackerman shoplifts her paycheck each and every month.

Solo is a shooter, NOT a point guard. Hard to believe that anyone sees ANY point guard skills from him.
He’s can be a hot shooter but can take his man off the dribble and has the strength to finish.

Agree on Enright fouling. The foul shoots were almost 3-1 with DePaul trying to come from behind most of the game.

He is getting noticably better on defense. So there is that.

How do you criticize a guy who was 7 for 9 from 3. But here i am, ball cannot make a layup. He rushes himself and simply does not jump up toward the hoop. He has a 40 plus inch vertical and you never see it on offense or defense. He had numerous sloppy turnovers and his defense was atrocious today. I know he is trying hard and hustling but he has zero bbiq. Hopefully it improves over time. His defense had been improving but today was a huge ge setback

Agreed. Honestly not worried about any player defensively under Dan. Would like to see him add some more offensive skills though.

There’s SO much room for improvement with his game.

He has the strength yes, but for whatever reason he struggles to finish. Hopefully that changes.

Solo averages 1.2 assists and had 0 assists today. Where are you seeing point guard skills?
It’s not his responsibility he’s helping by bringing the ball up but then setting himself up for 3’s. Diarra is the point guard. And he’s guarding their great driving guards best he can. I don’t expect assist from him.
