A 11-1 run helps UConn at come back. Neither team gave up and had their runs. A good game.

15 FTs to 5, 17 fouls to 8 and worse before intentional fouls. the usual Big East UConn treatment. No shooting foul at the end!!!!!! Team fouls throughout screwing us over. Made the difference!!!!!!! Ackerman needs to be terminated! There’s no integrity of the game in her league. Zero!!!

Why do our centers defensively not protect the paint but rather end up on a guard 25 feet + from the basket? That is where you help out on defense not out by half court. Very illogical. Our centers are seldom in position to help teammates down low.

Our defense is very disappointing, not so much guys getting beat 1x1, but bad scheme and execution. Bigs overplaying guards on their backside 27 feet from basket, mindless switches rather than making effort to stay with best defensive matchups. Doubling the cold guy that leaves the hot guy open. Series of switches that leave a pg covering their center down low.

Offensively Ball, Stewart and Diarra played well. We need more paint points from the center position. Johnson is the most out of position player for a center playing way too far away from the basket unguarded, when he’s not a 3 threat.

Reed needs more minutes, but fouls are killing that. Mahaney and Karaban need to deliver more 3’s. Ball has to shoot more. Our offense still doesn’t seem to know who to go to where? Give Neal credit and Kalkbrenner changed the game in many ways.

One thing is clear we don’t pressure the ball handler except for Diarra so Creighton had ability to see the court and make good passes.

Let’s start petition to terminate Val Ackerman’s for lacking integrity of game.

Does Chief watch the game? Reed got abused. More minutes would have meant a bigger loss.

We need to stop forcing the ball to Karaban. He's at his best when he's taking open shots and open drives. He's not the kind of player where you pass him the ball and tell everyone to get out of the way. His inefficiency really hurt today.

As bad as the refs were at the end, I think Hurley can still use this as a positive if the team is willing to listen.

They have to play hard (which they do) and play smart for a full 40 minutes. They can't keep giving teams an edge going into the 2nd half. Hurley is not going to be happy with some of the rebounding and the back door cuts for layups.

Diarra was very good. Stewart was very good.

Really missed McNeeley this game. His shooting and size would have helped a lot.

Diarra was also taken advantage of under the basket. Whenever they has a mismatch, they went straight to the hoop.

Regardless 63 points will not get it done.

He was our best defensive player. He wasn’t guarding Neil. What the heck game did you watch?

Not to my knowledge. I did not do a Briefs the last game since I was at a family function and could not focus on game.

Val can’t get us to defend.
Both teams shot similar field goal percentage. The difference was the 2 to 1 foul shots. That was a 10 point difference. Never mind the two weak 3 point shot calls at the end of each half.

Regarding the foul differential, It should be clear by now that Big East refs won't take any guff from Hurley. They'll make him pay.
And they did again today.
Their job is to be objective and non bias - if they can’t do that, Val should not employ them. It’s is an ethical disgrace. I am tired of the bs.

Neal drove by Ball frequently and effortlessly many times in the 1st half
And we did not have a center in the paint to help with Reed with 2 fouls early and Johnson out st the 3 line.

He was good defensively on the perimeter. But that isn't the whole court. He was repeated dragged to hoop on mismatches and scored over. Watch the entire court. Look Chief, we watch the same game but your "insights" are often less than stellar.
