I think Solo is more effective when he can establish his mid-range game then expand. He is getting to be money from there, almost like Rip. Sometimes I don't like his feet from 3 but inside the arc they always seem to be spot on.

Does Donny realize over half of the biggest office buildings in Hartford are in some stage of Foreclosure? He’s living in another era - the Bishops of Hartford era - 30-45 years ago. Bottom line in 3 weeks we have not lost a game in Hartford in 3 years! With Gampel it is a month since the AZ lost.

True, Reibe played better against Butler, but I am cheering for a healthy Reed.

I partially agree with the Solo part. His improvement is his midrange game is profound from last year. He's almost automatic from 14 to 17 feet. It's not like he hasn't been taking threes, they just haven't fell at a high percentage for thr majority of this season. Mullins should absolutely be getting plays set for him to get a good look from deep. I feel Solo gets those opportunities.

When your "explanation" is objectively wrong, there's nothing to get.

And LOL at the idea that Dan agrees with you when he's been committed to hard hedges (with the right personnel) since the beginning. The only thing we agree on is that Hurley is searching for an answer here. The personnel isn't really built for blitzing/hard hedging, so we started the year with more drop coverage but we're terrible at it. So he went back to a more aggressive hedge and we get beat with slips and dribblers splitting the defenders.
 
I have never liked the high hedge. Reibe however has made me a fan. Said this elsewhere too. He seems to already have a feel for it, and he seems fast/quick. That kid is one impressive ballplayer!

I don’t know about your personnel excuse - of course you have the personnel you recruited to play games for you - You did not listen to Dan after the last game. His view more similar to mine than yours.

Tough to have Donny’s high end wine and cheese party with so much foreclosure. lol
Wasn’t his best moment.
 
Downtown Hartford is more beer and nachos. The wine bar moved to the upper class suburbs, closer to guys like Donnie.

I'm questioning what office foreclosure rates (not vacancy rates) have to do with the crowd at a game?

The wine and cheese analogy was Donny’s not mine. Wine and cheese is associated with money not a foreclosure environment. In short, you step in it.

Greeting from the Durro River in Portugal. I just watched the replay of the Butler gamw. A few comments:
The Good:
  • Solo broke out of his slump for 26 pts. Let's hope it continues!
  • J Ross had his best game on both ends of the court. Kudos to him!
  • Both Riebe and Mullins continue to shine and improve.
  • Demery's 11 assists.
  • The Bad:
  • Perhaps the worst opening 10 minutes of the season with disjointed play, many missed shots, TOs, fouls and only 15 pts. This type of slow start will not be good against better teams than Butler.
  • Solo still cannot guard a chair. Neither can Demery.
  • Demery also cannot shoot a floater or drive to the hoop in traffic.
  • Mullins needs to learn not to reach in.
  • JStew generally cannot make a shot

A good win at the end. GO HUSKIES!

That's a good? As someone just mentioned he injured his shoulder prior to the game and then made it worse during the game. That's why he only played 7 minutes. MRI came back with nothing so hopefully the 10 day break will be good for him.

UConn’s Achilles heel last season, Demary was the big guard the Huskies tabbed with turning the team defense around. Hurley has liked what he’s seen so far.

“That kid coming here changed our identity, he changed our defense completely,” Hurley said after the win over Butler. “Just being that point of attack defender that is a ball hawk, he’s got to stay out of foul trouble, but what he’s done for our defense, he’s the single reason it went from the (expletive) it was last year to now a defense that’s going to have an opportunity to be good enough to win a championship.”

UConn’s Achilles heel last season, Demary was the big guard the Huskies tabbed with turning the team defense around. Hurley has liked what he’s seen so far.

Was Bad... Wrote in the wrong List... My bad

I still see both Solo and Silas trailing and chasing after their diving opponents numerous times during a game.
 
Ball the next guy up injuried. Hurley needs to take the foot off the accelerator at practice regardless of where the injury occurs - there is a cumulative wearing down of body effect.
