Chief’s Briefs - AZ Edition

I agree, lessons to learn.

There is nothing stopping him from crashing the offensive boards from outside the paint. Clingan does it very effectively for the Blazers.

He’s not a post threat, so the only thing he’s doing by camping in the paint on offense is clogging the lane even more than it already was.

To early to say, but I hope Mullins doesn’t make a predetermine decision. Nothing wrong with another year but he would need a good replacement to Reed to stay. We need a muscle guy.
I know SuperJohn is all in on him going. And if he plays that well, it’ll be great for us. But for a kid who is light in the frame and now missing a number of games, I don’t think it’s deadset he’s going into this super deep draft when a weak one lurks the year after. Kids can take off or it can take them time (like a Burries).

Diff situation - he was physically ready, and if he stayed he’d be walking into a super deep draft. Almost hit him in the butt too going that late. Was two picks away from no guarantee.

For who? Stew played very well last night despite the huge missed rebound late. 2 games in a row solid defensively. Ross didn’t show much so Stew is fine for now. We need Mullins back.
Depends on who we play, if we need more Stew or more Ross (Stew for slower bigger defense, Ross if we need plus defense on a 2 or 3). Mullins starts soon after he gets his feet under him, and we will be: Demary, Ball, Mullins, AK, Reed to start.

.-.

But did it impact his oncourt result?
Too often a short range view overcomes what’s impact and what eventually gets monetized.
