Ouch! Best wishes, Sloot!

Maybe Chicago will be in the Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis sweepstakes. She should play with Elena!!

Sometimes, it's just not your year. Chicago looks like it will end the season with the planned starting 5 having played together exactly once. Piph's mind, Syl's hip, Elena's Lyme, Sloot's knee. It's been one thing after another.

And now the Sky play @LA and @Phoenix in consecutive games. Brutal.

Best thing to come out of this would be being able to get KML please, & thank you. The Sky need a sharp shooter.

A grade 3 sprain is a complete tear of the ligament. Does anyone know why treatment of such an injury "seldom requires surgery"? It seems to me that allowing the ligament to heal without holding the ends together would almost always result in some lengthening of the ligament, which would seem to promote knee instability.

Especially since all the references I checked say immobilization is usually only required for a brief time and weight-bearing activities can be resumed as soon as swelling goes down, how can this work? Anyone got a clue?

That aside, best wishes to Courtney for a quick and complete recovery. Always enjoy watching her play.

I was under the impression that ligaments don't "heal". Why else have replacement surgery?

Is there something you know that some of us(Maybe just I) do not know?

Faulker was spectacular last night! She put the team on her back and took control. That is very impressive for the 34th pick in the draft and goes to show that given the opportunity that there are a lot of players who can have an impact.

I vote for Faulkner for the All-Star team. She is my one of the players I definitely want to see more of.

I've been impressed with Faulkner all year. LA is having bigtime problems this year though. Can't figure them out.

They need to pick up Jen Schlott!

LA has too much inside game and not enough shooters. Nneka, Parker and Lavender are very good players but they just don't offer enough variety in skill-sets.

I am referring to the time she took off at the beginning of the season due to burnout from playing year-round continuously since college. By the way, it's completely understandable to me that she took the time off. I just view it as comparable to an injury, "mental fatigue", if you will.

It'd be awesome if they can upset the team leading the other conference tonight!

I don't understand why Beard can have a light's out shooting half like she did against Tulsa then seem to disappear after that. She took over in the first half of that game IIRC.

She's benefited from Prince's late arrival and delayed participation this season. The Sky have depended on her being able to play from the get-go. They were able to get by with EDD in the lineup but it caught up with them when she had the relapse.

Contrast that to Tiffany Bias' situation in Phoenix. All their guards are healthy so she hardly gets playing time. She's really impressed the few times I've seen her get minutes though. She may be faster than Danielle Robinson.

If Fowles continues to improve, Elena recovers and Van Sloot heals up in time for the playoffs then they could be favored along with the Dream to win the East (between those two teams).

A lot of things will have to fall into place for Chicago, but that is not to say that it won't happen. And you never know what other teams will look like when the playoffs roll around.

Easy. The other team wakes up and starts defending her.

And anyone who has played the game can tell you how quickly shooting can change suddenly. I shot well once in a Lil' Dribblers game and I haven't recovered that form since.

Amazing--Piph shoots 3-10, Syl has 4 points and 2 boards, and both Sloot and Elena are out. And they still beat the star-studded L.A. team.

Guard shooting for L.A.: 8-31. Not good at all.

Could the loss of Courtney be the night Chicago died?
