After getting past LaChina's platitudes, the latest installment of Around the Rim was actually very interesting. Interesting highlights in my opinion.
1) A nice interview with Jonquel Jones about her development and the success of the Sun. More basketball insight than most coaches. I like the part where she comments on why the Sun team is so close. " There is not much to do in Connecticut so we have to do things together"
2) Doug Feinberg's. report on the U23 camp. Most interesting tidbits
a) Only 3 WNBA teams had any scouts show up to witness the cream of college basketball playing against the best competition possible and maybe networking with some of the best college coaches??
b) some players came out of shape (no names were given)
c) All 4 UConn players played well enough to make the team if they could.
3) A little on Jenny Boucek rumblings prior to her firing. (Not much meat)
