Couldn’t find the “Familiar Names” thread so please merge if needed

UConn has finished up our OOC schedule and is rolling into big east play. I was curious how all the transfers are doing. Let’s keep it civil

Transfers Out:
  • Akok Akok: 6.8PPG, 7.6RPG, 2.0BPG shooting 45/30/71. Actually started pretty strong but hasn’t had a double digit scoring game since Nov 23
  • Jalen Gaffney: 8.1PPG, 3.3RPG, 2.4APG shooting 47/48/70. Apparently is a sniper now? Love to see it
  • Rahsool Diggins: 3.3PPG, 2.6APG, 1.0 RPG shooting 32/28/17. No comment
  • Corey Floyd Jr: 3.6PPG, 1.4 RPG, 0.3APG shooting 50/50/100. He’s played well (according to box scores) in the limited time he’s gotten, but is only at 9 MPG
  • Matt Garry (transferred to D3): 10.8PPG, 7.2RPG, 1.5 APG shooting 38/25/67
  • Brendan Adams - didn’t transfer last year but has been getting much deserved love on here so including him: 16.8PPG, 4.8RPG, 2.8APG shooting 48/36/88
Transfers In:
  • Tristen Newton: 10.0 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 4.4 APG shooting 35/35/80
  • Joey Calcaterra: 9.2 PPG, 2.8 APG, 1.3 RPG shooting 56/57/82
  • Nahiem Alleyne: 5.9 PPG, 1.5 RPG, 1.2 APG shooting 38/27/86
  • Hassan Diarra: 3.1 PPG, 2.9 APG, 2.1 RPG shooting 28/18/50

Floyd jr can't see the floor at Providence. I thought based on what I heard he was a loss, but as @superjohn has said a lot, he is playing behind a lot of guys at Providence.

Gotta wonder how hard the staff tried to keep some of the transfers. Not only did we hit the lottery, Hurley is turning UConn into a choice destination for Portal candidates and top freshman.
