Zona mich ducks usc uconn

When going after the top players the competition is going to be tough. The one thing in our favor is Daniel Hamilton being on board.

And he's friend's with Daniel Hamilton. He practically asked UConn to recruit him harder recently. He's been written about several times as having a great summer. Does a little bit of everything.

I will be very surprised if we strike out on Devin Robinson and Chatman. One of these kids will be in Storrs

The ONE thing? How about 3 NC's, a great new HC in Ollie, a new state of the art practice facility that will be up and running by the time he gets here, high quality potential teammates, etc etc... ;)

what kind of AAU team is Robinson on? Seems like he's never at any of the bigger events that the staff is at.

Robinson plays for Richmond Squires their a smaller team. Think they might even be Reebok sponsored so that tells you all you need to know.

Robinson has some highlights out there. Chatman sat out his Junior year cause of transfer rules so its hard to find good highlights of him.

We have at least 4 more scholarships to offer and you don't want a consensus top 40 player?

It's crazy. He is one of the most versatile kids in his class. He actually went to the Deron/Irving skills academy and did well enough to get to the Lebron camp. This kid, like a few of the other kids we're recruiting, are absolute studs and we should be very happy if any of them commit.

Agreed, it seems like we've gotten to caught up in how great of a recruiting period this has been and seem to have raised our hopes and expectations to crazy points. Look at last years class, we would have freaked to get chatman or any of these kids then

Not until we see what happens with better recruits. If we can lock up Abu, then I think we should go after him harder.

Abu/Perkins seem to be priority right now and I think we take our odds with them. Fill in anyone afterwards with Carrington, Chatman, etc.

That's just simply not the way recruiting works. Abu has 10 schools on his list. What if he takes his time and doesn't decide until January, or later? If Ollie waits until then to go hard after guys like Chatman (who might be a better player than Abu by the way), then we'll have no chance with him.

It is really, really crazy. I see people listing the class of players they would be "happy with", or the list they would "take right now". They act like it is no big deal, but if we actually signed the players they are listing, it would easily be on paper our best recruiting class ever. It would not even be close.

Yes, it can't help KO's recruiting to have fans sneering at top 50 talent because they think we can get all the top 25 guys we want.

There's a list of about 10 guys we're recruiting who if they were to commit right now, we should be doing cartwheels. Regardless of position. And Chatman is definitely on that list.

Can't agree more.

My list of those top 100 kids in 2014 that UConn fans should be thrilled to get and may actually have a shot at:

Perkins, McLaughlin, Chatman, Oubre, Black, Abu, Chukwu, Robinson, Terrell, Carrington, Turner, Goodluck (not sure how realistic for these last three)

Did I miss anyone?

Larrier

What's the deal with Carrington? Feel like we haven't heard his name in a while.

I know, that was just crazy best case scenario.
